The build checklist: requirements, docs, build, QA
A free 8-page guide from Ferngale Studio.
Hiring someone to build a website, app or automation? These are the questions we would ask, in the order we work: plain words, a tick box for each, no technical knowledge needed.
- Requirements: the problem, the goal, the scope and who owns what.
- Docs and plan: what should be written down before building starts.
- Build: weekly progress you can see, and code you own.
- QA: what gets tested, on which devices, with results on paper.
- Launch and after: go-live, support, and running it without the builder.
Plus eight red flags to watch for, and a one-page list of what you should receive at handover.
